Gro-Brick Casing Question
    #389817 - 09/10/01 12:12 AM (15 years, 3 months ago)

I was just wondering how much water should I use for my gro-brick. What I did was let the grow-brick soak in water and expand. I took a handful of grow-brick and squeezed it until most of the water came out. I was just wondering if that was enough moisture for the substrate to grow into the casing. It's been like almost one week and I have only seen a little growth in the casing.

Squeezing it is what HQ does when she uses coir- but then she also finely mists it once the casing layer is applied. Is your casing layer very thick? Usu she sees growth popping thru in 1-2 days, has to patch case once, and adequate colonization happens in about ... 5 days or so. sometimes less, not really more though. dont really know what to say, unless your layer is too thick...?
