I was wondering if using aliens crazy substrate is good for spawning for straw

or is there a better substrate to use ... I would love to hear your guys opinions

well I have another question ....

I really dont have any cash to spend ... like nun at all ....

so I was wondering how would I use perlite for humidity control if im doing a straw tek..???

or is there somthing else I can use to keep the humidity up thats inexpensive and will work for straw ....???

dump the perlite in a bucket. add lots of water so the perlite floats, scoop it out with a strainer. shake a couple of times, and dump it in the terrarium. repeat until floor covered.

and this will work to if Im using a straw tek ??

cause im lineing the whole rubber maid bin with straw so how would I get the perlite on the bottom after incubation and casing ??

cause thats what the tek saids to do lol

but you have to spawn it while you lay it down :smile:
