LSD problem ...
    #3897559 - 03/10/05 02:12 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

I had a terrible badtrip about a month ago, a total introspective nightmare as they say.

After that trip; I was a bit out of balance; but nothing to be worried about.

Then comes last week: I decided I was ready to trip again; so I dosed 1,5 good blotters, yet right before the peak, I had this terrible d?j?-vu of my badtrip from last time... :frown:

Needless to say, I immediately took action and started fighting against my free will.
I kind of succeeded in this; I remembered my name, knew I wasn't going to get insane, and that I had nothing to fear.

Yet while I'm analyzing it now; I get stuck on some things:
1) I really was in the mindset for tripping, don't really know why I got the badtrip-deja-vu... Could it be that my badtrip hasn't healed yet, or that I haven't learned from it?
2) About my environment: I got this small concrete room in a big, loud city. I don't understand why I have absolutely no problem with this on a mushroom trip; and that I get so bothered with it on acid.

I hope some people can relate to this...

PS: Acid has learned me one valuable lesson above all: that you have to be at peace with yourself; and that friends and family can help you with this.

Just try to go with it, smile, relax, listen to some good music. Have some toys, that can help you stay a little grounded if you have cool lasers and such to play with.

Here's a tip, get some noise cancellation headphones, those big comfy ones. Blast some good rock through it, can't go wrong .

Well; that is why I call it a problem:
I was ready to relax and let go; but all of a sudden, there is this one thought that my trip would go horribly wrong.

I had some classical music going through good headphones; and it scared the living piss out of me at one point. Pretty impressive if you ask me!

But I refuse to blame the music itself; usually Mozart really puts me in total bliss on mushroom-trips.

Funny thing is: the more I thought about 'female energy' and put music on made by women, the better my trip got!

I like listening to music that has good, upbeat, positive energy when tripping. Like rush or the Beatles. Good rock is k3y. I listen to the dead too while tripping, but not as much as I used to, I expanded my horizons. If you like music with "female energy" find as much of it as you can and play it.

I tried a group called Dream Theater (progressive metal) ...

Bad idea; it like really put some bad vibes in the air. (even though I still think they are great musicians)

I usually put Jimi Hendrix on. Or other psychedelic rock-groups.

But that thing with female energy, I only get into that if I get in a badtrip. Then I kind of search for positive energy.
Norah Jones - Janis Joplin - Shakira -> They all helped me keep my sanity.
