I've been wanting to know the same thing actually...I need a place to put my casings after the mycelium spread. Do you have one hose sucking air out and one pushing it in or what? That seems like it would work and be completely automated...

When i did tin pans in a tub i had a rubbermaid tub with one hole on the side with synthetic filter disc/tyvek for gas exchange and no pumps, no bubble wands, no perilite. it works good for me. If you are going to have just a hose just stuff some polyfill in the end and you should be good. sounds like you have everything under control.

Another advantage of casings is that you really don't need a humidification source for them. When I ditched perlite and left casings to misting ONLY as a humidity source, I couldn't believe how much better they were doing.

Put your casings in a larger Rubbermaid, and mist 1-2 times daily. The natural perspiration of the casing layer will be adequate. If not, you can mist the chamber walls for more moisture.
