Refrigerator Tek

I would like to share an idea with you. What if you bought an old refrigerator from a thrift store and turned it into a grow box. Just install a cool mist humidifier and put a small flouresent light inside. You could put the casing trays on the shelfs.

just an idea, could it work???

A friend and myself worked out a "plan" for a grow system like this a year or so ago. It never really took off, but I can give you the "theory" behind it.

My friend stumbled upon an idea of draing the freon from the refridgerator (safely disposing of it of course) and designed a way for heated water to be pumped throw the refridgerator instead of coolant. This way temperature could be controlled with radiant heat.

He originally wanted to use it to ferment beer, but I talked him out of that. heheh.

If you tied in some lighting and a fanning/humidifier system it would make a great grow system. The only draw backs are that a refridgerator is rather bulky for the limited amount of space that it provides. Its great for concealment too, just don't let your buddies think its a real fridge other wise they may stumble across your grow when looking for some beer.

It can work, at least in theory.
