microwaving dessicant packets

i have some lil silica gel packets like the ones that come with your new shoes. would microwaving them for say 1 min work to dry them out? or is the whole oven thing absolutely necessary

Your microwave might burn them. Bake'em for an hour at 250 Fahrenheit.
