tek to make air pump quiet

I remember seeing a picture and tek a while back that used some stuff in order to make an air pump very quiet. I cant seem to find it anymore so could someone post it or point me in the right direction. I believe it used rubber bands or something to suspend it so it wouldnt make that vibrating noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

FWIW, my friend just puts the thing - in its little tupperware case with coffee filter over the holes - on a folded up little hand towel on the floor. This friend has hardwood floors and even with those, sitting it on this towel greatly decreases the noise. It's a lot lower-tech than most other workarounds.
