Kits, yields, Canada

Hello,
I have growing experience using the MMGG method w/ canning jars, etc. I'm currently living in a very small area w/ limited supplies (including pots, etc) at my disposal. I'm intersted in using a kit (esp. the Dung Lover's kit from Hawkeye) but am located in Canada right now and they will not ship here. Can anyone suggest alternatives? I'm looking for something that will give high yields w/o the need for many supplies. Again, my situation demands something like Hawkeye's kit as I am unable to procure a lot of the things I would need here at University.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps someone has surplus w/ in Canada and would be interested in selling me one of their kits?

Homestead Books has a new kit that looks eerily similar to the DB kit. (Ripoff? chicken or the egg?) I'd not support it as theyre not a supporter here at the shroomery, but since you cant get a product you want based on where you live- heres the link... perhaps they can help you out. Dont know about shipping policies.

Homestead Books NEW kit (this is NOT their agar kit, but a rye and compost kit, much like ryche's...) dont know if anyones had success with it, but i know some people have had luck with their "regular" kit with much trial & error...

ps, i believe you can also purchase ryche's kit a la carte- eg get the sterilized grain, the tub, and the spores from him. all you need is poo ... but that seems to be the beauty of the kit. plus, youd havta pasteurize the poo, and if you dont have a pot to boil your poo in, it may be fruitless. :) btw, dont get kicked out of the dorm and dont run your roommate out with poo smells. ::grin::

You're living in Montreal? Thats a world class city!

Kits are a waste of money. Everything you need can be found at your local thrift store for just a few bucks.

If you have a hard time finding substrate ingredients or spores, check out the SporeLab, located near Vancouver.
