Popular Teaching Dichotomies

"You are already divine and enlightened." (Relax)

vs.

"Increase your spiritual practices and discipline with more meditation and breathing and visualization and postures and..." (Pressure yourself with yet more "shoulds".)

"Follow the pathless path."

vs.

"Follow paths set down through thousands of years of tradition."

"Eventually we will all become enlightened. Time is an illusion."

vs.

"Hurry! Don't waste precious moments. Your goal is to "get it" in this lifetime."

Or

Just smoke a bowl and cruise the Shroomery...

Its very silly becuase there is nothing to get! Its already here, right now, all we gotta do is train in noticing it. Just because we dont notice our heart beating, does'nt mean it do'nt beat. The beat goes on......

Am i being annoying by saying this?

Some see it, some ignore it, and many criticize it. But that still dont change a thing. It's still right under your nose all the time, like the boogie you just dont see.

You are already divine and enlightened, but you choose to ignore it. Increase your spiritual practices and discipline with more meditation and breathing and visualization and postures, etc... allowing you to see what it is that you have been choosing not to see.

Follow the pathless path. The time tested way to find the pathless path is by following paths set down (by "Gurus" or "Masters"?) through thousands of years of tradition.

[snip ... these two are not dichomotomies]

Or... Just smoke a bowl and cruise the Shroomery...

Amen

The last one reeks of enlightenment.
