Orrisa India
    #3889153 - 03/08/05 08:51 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

I am researching around trying to find the optimum conditions for cultivating Orrisa India. If any one has any input it would be greatly appretiated. I am looking at using wild bird seed and vermiculite. And for the casing I was planning on using pastuerized cow manure. If anyone has a better idea let me know. If Orissa India isn't a good choice of spore for this growing condition, would blue meanies work????
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Naaw. Stick with the OI's. I'm using them now and really like them. WBS to straw /poo and you get very large mushrooms. Pretty potent too.

Actually, they do pretty well on well hydrated cakes.

You dont want to use poo as a casing.

So the 50/50 peat moss and straw worked the best on the OI? Has anyone done cow poo and had it work??? Should I even try the poo or use the 50/50???

Poo/straw is way more suitable for them IMO.

I grew some OI cakes, they took freakin forever, i'm trying WBS now but the print i used to make the inoculation syringe was bunk so none of them began to colonize. I cased the cakes with verm/coir and they seemed to do alright.

mutated OI casing
