Re: Teachings of Buddha and Jesus Christ - The Fundemental Differences.... . . . . [Re: Ped]

Thanx~ Ped....

It kinda~ seems fitting, I just don't seem to understand the "awakened" part....  To awaken, would imply to be alive, and to be living life and laughing with children and stuff....  At least, that is what I would do when I woke up....  Well, if I had children, and uuummm, well I don't....  But, I act like a fool anyways, like I did have kids...!

I don't mean any disrespect....  It may come across that way....  It seems like a very honorable discipline....  And it does make the person practicing the teachings a better person, but how does it "touch" other people....?  As with a soldier that is not allowed to show emotions in an army (it would show weakness), that is not life and Love to live like a soldier like that....  It sounds like a constant mental self "boot camp"....  They are honored, and there is much respect for the conditioning, training, and sacrifice, but what does one truly attain thru this discipline....?    When you are "Awakened", what then...?  How long does it last...?  Does one allow one's self to be happy for reaching such a state of achievement....?

What about the matters of the heart....

ME....
