Looks good to me but, it is kind of tough to see. You will be able to tell in about a day or two. Just as long as no contams start to grow you are set.

hard to tell exactly, but it looks good to me. also if he has taped up the holes on the jar have him look and see if the growth is right below the injection site, that is a good indicator

richardcypher101 said: Got 2 more still shots of the same jar. Also after close inspection of his 6 jars, 5 of the 6 are showing signs of white growth. This jar was just the more noticeable of the 6 because its growth is vigorous compared to the others which consist of little bloches of white here and there. Hopefully these are clearer to you guys, I still havent adjusted it to do very, very close zoom (Using a Kodak DC 4800 - Very expensive digi cam).
that is mycelium...your good to go.

Should take about a week, give or take a few days, for it to be fully colonized, right?

is that a TiT? if so set the temp on the heater to 88 or so, put a large towel on the bottom and that SHOULD keep your entire incubator in the range of 80-88 degrees, depending on the ambient temp. of the room. if the room stays fairly constant in temps above 72 degrees, then set the heater to 84-86, and your incubator should be at around 80-84 degrees.
