So tahoe where the heck did your MAJOR pinning trigger light come from? Cubies are not the same species as Agaricus which needs no light initiation. Cubies do indeed benefit from the light trigger although they can produce pins with little light exposure it will never be prolific. As far as straw and flushes are concerned there won't be many without suppliments casing or not. You guys should just look at the pics posted that should be enough for even a novice to get a clue. Understand what is taking place will be of much more importance here than reading and looking at pictures. BTW thanks ShroomGod I hope to have more in the future!  And KFU Look at these pins are they forming under the surface? I think not, come on guys there seems to be some confusion here about the whole pinning process! And what is reeally interesting is it's just been initiated in the last month or so? Odd? You guys come in here and think you can do better than this? WTF? Please give us some credit!!! LOL

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

Hahahah Just kidding, but thanks for the advice.
The trays that were pictures are now happily pinning, although maybe not at absolutely the optimum level, but oh well, I'm more than happy with them. 2 of the casings never really had the myc. fully break the surface, although I can see it a few Millimeters under the surface. Should I just leave them in the fruiting chamber longer, hoping for pins? SHould i be misting these heavily, if at all? Maybe try giving them a cold shock? I'll wait a few more days and see what happens. Thanks again
