This may have been posted before but I didn't see it. Anyway I love Calvin and Hobbes and the other day I came across a collection of every strip. Just thought I'd share:

Awesome. I have every single Calvin and Hobbes book at home, thousands and thousands of strips, they're great. Here's my current favorite, which I saw posted on my best friend's blog:
-------------------- Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

This one has to be my favorite. I think Calvin has an excellent point:

And this one pretty much sums up my view on the war on drugs:

Ah Calvin, wisest of all contemporary philosophers. I think I'll have to pick up the complete collection when it goes on sale even though I already have all the books in softcover.
Glad some of you guys are enjoying this.

Truly the best comic strip of all time.
When I was a little kid I had a stuffed tiger I dragged with me every place I went. Damned if I can remember what I called him, though. Probably "Tiger".
My mother says I was pretty much a dead ringer for Calvin, too. Not real big on authority and a total wiseass. I never made any cool snowmen though.
Like so many others here, I have the entire Calvin and Hobbes collection already, but I'll still probably get the new book when it's available. It was a sad day indeed when Watterson decided to stop. I hope he got richer than Croesus from the strip -- he deserved to.

i loved c&H as a youn'un
then stopped, i recently got out my books
never really realized how many deep, philosophical ideas are in e= i realized that there's one strip that kinda formed me into the way i am
i seem to act exactly as hobbes does in it

actually I don't have one of them
but even though I have read them all, and many times, they don't really get old at all. When I'm sick and laying in bed, calvin and hobbes makes my day. I also have a zits comic book, i like that. But I love Calvin and Hobbes.

I'm down with C to the Hizzache.
Yeah, probobly best comic ever. When Bill Watterson stopped and quit reading comics. I was also very much a Calvin growing up.
