honey preservation

A FOAF has read conflicting reports on honey preservation. Supposedly, at least one "expert" Ott(?) was quoted as saying that it would not work. But others have suggested that it might work. Does anyone know if it DEFINITELY does work (from FOAF experience).

My friend would like to use this method because it does not require refrigeration. Too many eyes on fridge. He would like to grind up the dry shrooms and add to honey so that there is very little honey (more like a paste) and then add a slight pure honey layer on top for airtightness. Opinions?

yeah it would preserve them but forget preservation....... you need to eat them fresh... much better tat way... i had my buddies in honey for 2 months till i got broke and sold them for the next generation of their kind... it works good i think but try to eat them fresh if you can....
