spawning

How much worm castings can I spawn with 2 quart jars 3/4 full of colonized rye? How deep should the castings and rye be when I'm done mixing them, i.e. what size container should I use?

If you take 10% spawning rate, then you can spawn app. 25 quarts substrate.
The thickness of the substrate layer should be from 2-4 ". The thickness of the casing laser form 1/2 inch to 1 inch.
You can use one big container, I?d go with several smaller, just in case contamination hits the casing.
