stress
    #3877538 - 03/06/05 04:06 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

If there is something bothering and stressing you, why let it? Because all external stressors can be reduced to their internal emotional causes that manifest in your perception, which in turn can be reduced to their internal root causes?a case of ignorance or misinformation. So you must reject the misinformation to counter the ignorance, you must stop thinking about it because the very act affords the problem validity.

But when we reduce things in this manner, let's not forget about the very core thing that we're reducing to?truth. And truth reduces outward, always towards a more all-encompassing context. Never validating your problem's identity amounts to denial, for the infinite and ever-expanding nature of truth rightly urges you to understand the specifics of the problem.

The problem started when you didn't let it stress you in the first place, when you blocked the emotion itself on an emotional level instead of an intellectual one. Actually surrendering to the feeling and accepting it as positively natured gives you the power to transcend its specific trivial causes without confronting them individually, to transmute the negative energy into positive energy.

Your reaction to stimuli is your choice. If you react by being overwhelmed then you experience stress. If you react in a proactive manner then you gain confidence and exhileration.

"A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda
