So after sitting on these seeds for the last four moons, and noticing Erowid still only has one report, I decided to give it a go.
Background: Contains alkaloids similar to Iboga. Has been said to increase dreams, and is used to pharmsuitically to treat something. High doses are bad.
I know this info sucks, just wondered other's experience.
Well, lately I've been trying to log my dreams again. Doing reality tests and such. I usually only smoke a couple grams of Cannabis a month--full time work and school. I've read grass interferes with dream recall, and haven't smoked three days prior.
Chewed 22 seeds, slightly bitter. Layed down on couch, set the timer and quickly fell asleep. Got up, turned off lights and went to bed.
Woke up at my usual waking time, six hours after going to bed.
Now here's the thing. I woke remembering my main dream, very intense, detailed fun stuff. California was on the East coast, and I had gone to BC to go Scuba diving. I thought I was fully awake, but proceeded to re-enter dream state, having three more dreams each with their own plot, while still remembering the first.
After waking, I seemed to go instantly into deep REM, got lucid once, got the kind of dreams I only get a couple times a month. Most of the dreams became unpleasant, but were heavy lessons for me
I'd definately say it's worth not smoking for a week to try these out.
And similar to the report on Erowid, some didn't seem at all like dreams, it was more like my spirit was on a different layer, while my body was shut down, like did that just happen?
Anyone try this yet?

I was really into for a few years, I could fill a notebook in a month. Then my life took a drastic change and I haven't written much since last summer.
After this experience, I received a message that they will be coming back.
Since so little is known about this plant, hopefully more people will take an interest. The bark contains 5-10X more alks, but I don't know at what level it becomes dangerous.
I believe 20-50 seeds is a safe dose. BTW I got mine as a free sample from Shamanspalace. Thanks

I have a couple small voacanga plants growing. I'll take and post some pics soon.

I'd suggest grinding the bark to a powder and taking extremely small doses.
Stoney and Pod, have you guys thought about ingesting the leaves? I'm still curious to see some pics.

Another noteworthy experience.
Well, I had strep throat this week. Missed two days of work, and smoked grass four nights in row to alleviate the lameness of being sick. I'm usually a twice a week smoker, on the last night I decided it would be a good time to test out the bark.
erowid info
I chewed 500 mgs of the bitter bark to pulp before swallowing. I didn't notice much beyond my normal sleep dementia. But the next night I didn't smoke and must have hit some serious REM rebound. I became fully lucid. "I was bouldering on some bluffs near my home, when stuck I would just let go and fall, then hover a few feet above the ground." According to my notebook, this was the first Lucid Dream since last moon when I chewed the seeds.
Coincidence? Placebo? Could be, but it definately has alkaloids. And unlike the erowid report, I didn't notice any ill feelings directly from the bark
This was seriously the most fun I have had in a long time.

Yah I think I have some seeds of it growing, I think they just sprouted. I have like 20 different kinds of plants spouting so I am not 100% sure if those were the vocs or not. The sprouted up with part of a seed on and the seed sure looks like those black seeds. I got some seeds for like $3 shipped from ebay lol.

That's always fun when you lose track of what was planted and have no idea what is growing...LOL
Well, the volunteer spots are full and samples were mailed. Now for the reports

Unfortunately, I did not have any dreams to speak of, I felt a little off base when I was awake, but it did not affect my dream pattern. Bummer. Though now I'm even more intrigued and I'll probably order some seeds and try to grow some out.

I recommend eating the bark as opposed to eating the seeds. I have some little voacanga sprouts from the free seeds i got. I still have 1 gram of root bark i'm gonna try out whenever i stop smoking pot for a week (probably a long time, lol).

You're right safety is important in these matters. It's not ibogaine, but contains a few similar alkaloids as ibogaine. One of the shroomery sponsors now sells iboga root bark (www.psychoactiveherbs.com), kinda pricey though.
