It's very dangerous to culture ergot fungus. You can die. There is some good information about it at a University of Hawaii's website, if I recall correctly from someone else asking but I am about to go sleep so I don't have time to look for you.

Good luck and be safe. Google is your friend. Use the search engine here, as well.

Thanks for the info
Ill check there site and do some more research then...I been looking on google and metacrawler also and nothing really to useful.Have also been looking at the public library but most of what they have on it is either checked out out or destroyed.
I searched thru the posts here for "ergot" and didnt see much listed...Thats one thing that led me to post this message.

...good book "Practical LSD Manufacture"

Quote:

lysergic amide production in a culture medium requires one to scour the globe to find a rare strain of claviceps fungus that will cooperate in this manner. The vast majority of claviceps fungi will NOT produce the necessary alkaloids while being cultured.

I'm not saying whether or not that little sample of the book is right or wrong, but as a whole, that book is pretty bad. There are many many flaws in it, and fester has said he's never actually performed any part of the book to find the results.
