Desiccant Question

I'm try to get together my drying procedures. I was wondering what and were can i get the best/cheapest desiccant for my little drying chamber? does calcium chloride work well?

Calcium Chloride is desiccant. Kmart/Walmart sell Damp Rid in these handy milk carton type jugs for 4 bucks or so.

You want Anhydrous Calcium Carbonate in pellet form, such as the Damp Rid like I posted above.

No problem p4k. Yeah that works, just make sure it has a tight fitting lid as to not let any extra moisture in the drying chamber (more work for the Damp Rid). The best thing you can do before sending them to the dry chamber is to fan dry for 48 hours, then finish them off with Damp Rid.

Yea, damp rid is da shit. But if you were doing this on a LARGE scale, you can buy 'rechargeable' desiccant. After they are soaked you bake them in the oven for a few hours to dry them out. The cheapest place to find that is army surplus. THANKS UNCLE SAM! But like diver said, $4 for that much DR is a bargin.
