Do Orissas take longer than usual to mature?
    #3867407 - 03/04/05 11:17 AM (19 years, 1 month ago)

I've got some Orissa cases that have pinned and started to produce babies. The only thing is, they seem to be taking a really long time to mature compared to the Brazilians and KSS strains I've grown. The conditions are pretty much the same. The only difference is that the subtrate in these cases is about 3-4 inches thick and the subtrate with the other strains was about 1-2 inches. So do Orissa's just take longer or is it the subtrate depth or something else?

It depends on many factors.

Orissas often have weird first flushes, later flushes are more consistant.

Plus, fungus fucks with you. It loves to play with your mind.

If your conditions are optimal, O/I's only take about a day or 2 longer, just because they grow....... so big

Besides that, Brazils are some of the fastest I've seen. Havnt tried KSS but if similar, OI's definatly took longer then Brazils, in all aspects. Not much..few days..but ya know few days here and there adds up....I cant wait to try some OI's on bulk..

agar, would fruit size (OI) be smaller w/ a 4:1 straw:poo ratio?

This is my first try with bulk also. I can't wait to see how big they get.

Depends on grow conditions. So long as they are close to optimal, you should get big fruits. H/poo is in fact mostly grains/hay/straw fibers.
