Agar contamination (pics)

I tryied to start some mycelium from pieces of the stem and cap, turns out 100%  contaminated  :frown:. Since the mushrooms were picked from poo, I believe they came with the contaminants... the agar was contam free (I had it ready 4 days before inoculating and no signs on contam). Well, check out the pics.

Looks to me like a nice assortment of environmental bacteria.  The very last pic looks like it might be a mold colony in the upper right?
Regardless, it sucks :frown:
Going straight from wild fruit to non-selective agar is tough for even the most experienced cultivators.  You might want to look into some peroxide or antibiotic recipes next time.  Keep trying!
One more note, since you're just getting the hang of agar work, it might be a good idea to retain one of the plates you make as a negative control;  You have some confirmation that the plates were clean before inoculating because they were made days before, but it wouldn't hurt to carry a negative one step furthur:  Include it in your inoculating chamber, and 'fake inoculate' it with your utensil [no mycelium].  This could help demonstrate the general cleanliness of your inoculating environment or the tools used.
