Hay or Grain?

ok, i've never done shrooms or even had a chance to go looking (i don't know anyone with a field i can have access to and trespassing kind of feels weird now that i'm all grown up...doesn't mean i won't do it:P ) , but someone recently told me that shrooms (run of the mill cow shit shrooms) only grow on the shit of either hay-fed cows or grain-fed cows. is this true? and if so, which one?

I've heard grain fed is prefered, but I've seen them growing just as good in both.

hey, just now got a chance to check my post. thanks for the help. i hope i can find something soon, i've done quite a bit of research and i think i'm ready to go looking. is texas in the mycelial map?
