Here's a Question....
    #3865137 - 03/03/05 11:13 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

So I was sitting there in an altered state and thinking, a lot. I just started anyalyzing and despising everything about my self. I got obssessed with how other's saw me, and then I thought. Here I am analyzing myself, instead of others so.... maybe if they are analyzing themselves as hard as I do.... (stay with me)... then there's really no reason for anyone to have time analyzing me, since they're busy on themselves. so there is no reason for me to think about what they are thinking about me....
Here's the question...
Does everyone think this deeply?
about everything and especially yourself?

I'm sorry to the regulators, I was sitting here for a half hour trying to think of where to put this post. So i just decided on the pub...

Not every single person probably thinks so deeply, but I think that self-introspection is the essence of consciousness.  Being able to contemplate our own existence is an essentially human trait, and so most humans probably do it.  Altered states, of course, tend to encourage "deep" introspection...  But such states can also lead to rather frustrating circuitous thought or even total loss of ego.

I think I think a lot also...I think everyone does to some degree or at some point, but I think everyone knows those people who seem like they don't think about shit...and then I start to think, are they missing something, because how can they live without being the least bit introspective or thoughtful, but then I think, maybe they do and maybe they just hide it very well. And then this makes me think that I am just able to read people so well, because I analyze things so much, I just tend to see what others don't...so then I think I'm Special!

Oh and I am in Love with introspective people. I love when people make me think about things in a way that I hadn't before. It's like your conversation is on a whole 'nother level...Anyone else think like that..

Here's an answer:

You're a mindfuck of a person. (don't take offense, it's a very good quality, and I'd consider myself and would gladly be characterized that way) I do the same thing, the more I mindfuck the more I realize the less I know and the more I try to know what I inevitably will never know by virtue of trying to know. Stick with it, it'll take you places (sanatorium possibly)... Don't mindfuck yourself to much though, you begin to dissolve everything. Like all things cerebral, good place to visit, but wouldn't want to live their.

Edit:
Nothing negative meant, first thing to pop into the mind.

I had to laugh quietly to myself while reading, This is a re-curing thought for me as well, which has put me threw a few year's of depression, but I have came to the same conclusion you have.

Once I realized how caught up everybody else is in their own head games, and not caring about every single move I made, I was able to focus my train of thought on learning new skills, which got me on my way to a way happier life.

You are not the only one out there!

i realised after experiances with hallucinagens, that i analyze myself as well as others a lot more than before i experianced tripping. Its good most of the time but can have its bad points. i understand people a lot better. i dont know if the reason why i think differently was because im not a child anymore... or if it was altered states, but i am assuming both.

anyone ever at a point where you think you can understand everyone elses thoughts. like you know what they are thinking.
