Syncronicities
    #386363 - 09/05/01 04:51 PM (15 years, 3 months ago)

I'm interested to hear people views on syncronicities. Are they something you experience often, and what meaning (if any) to you give to them?

Recently I've been experiencing syncronicities like never before (At least a few every day). I'll think of something and then out of the blue someone will say exactly the same thing, I'll think of someone obscure and then they'll phone or I'll have an email from them, I'll start singing a tune a couple of minutes before comes on the radio, and so many more things. I find they are always accompanied by a feeling, kind of like Deja Vu, that feels like everything has just slotted into place.

Take care

Yeah i get them! A lot of the time it's pretty stupid stuff like thinking about an old movie that was good and then finding out it's coming on the tv soon, but occasionaly it's more meaningful. I came to the conclusion that such a huge volume of info goes through our brains each day (just random thougts and such) that inevitably things like "synchronicities" will appear to happen. I mean, we have so many fleeting emotions and thoughts triggered by random things in the course of each day, these thoughts and emotions are never accessed again until something appears to coincide with them, then it feels as though a link is being made, or a cycle completed. This is just my theory of course and it is probablly a lot different for you.

I went through a phase of a few weeks were I was having them like crazy. I still have them from time to time, usually they are just little cute things that make me grin and feel warm. They just always seem like a positive re-enforcement that I'm on the right track, I am where I am supposed to be, doing what I am supposed to be doing.

but the ultimate... and this was great.

Your just crazy. You need to put yourself in the looney bin.

Nah, just kidding. I get it in spurts from time to time. Its like for a week I'll know about everything before it happens, sometimes days before it happens. (I've had many occasions where I vividly remember a conversation then a couple days later the same people are talking and the discussion is exactly the same.) Then sometimes I'll just be completely out of the loop and I won't realize what has just happened for a few hours or sometimes days. Kinda makes up for itself.

Yeah this happens to me from time to time. Sometimes I just seem to know what is about to happen. You know?

The morning my grand mother died I was in the kitchen eating when the phone rang and I knew what it was about before my mom even picked up the phone. I just stood up and walked downstairs to lie down. Was kinda freaky, since there was nothing to say my grandma wasn't going to live another 10 years.

Then again, I don't put much thought into this and am not going to speculate on how it works or if it's a real phenomenon.

You don't know what it is, but it's there....
Like a splinter in your mind...
Driving you mad.

This is how I see them. When you're on the right track, your connection with the source is strong.
Whether the syncronicities are a result of recieving of information from the source, or whether your thoughts are creating reality is something I'm still undecided about, although I'm leaning more and more towards the latter.

So when I was reading Cosmic Trigger 1 & 2 and read about all the 23 stuff I realized that Highway 23 runs right through my town, and one night, a day after I read that chapter "23 Skidoo" I think it is, I was busted (right off of highway 23) for posession. When I was in the back of the squad I heard the operater over the radio ask the pig what his unit number was...
When he said 23 I could hardly contain my laughter.

I get synchronicities all the time, two days ago I had a dream where an elephant was screwing one of my friends (don't ask me, it was the weirdest dream I've ever had), and later at school, I said something in FACS, and he said that I'd have to have really broad shoulders and be 'hung like an elephant' to be a porn star. It was really weird.

often/the less meaning i assign to them the more i understand them/once a crazy acidhead (or wise man?) told me that the true naked intellect is the ability to navigate synchronicity.... upon hearing my heart skipped a beat and i've never forgotten it

don't search for synchronicity, but keep your eyes open - it's like a game of hide and seek.... as long as you're seeking it hides, but when you truly don't give a shit anymore and your consciousness comes in waves of relaxtion it's like a puppy dog who runs up to lick your hand

the less you know objectively the more you'll learn

Everything is better than it was the last time.  I'm good.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

Synchronicity happens because time doesn't pass the way our brains would have us think it does, and so seeing the future is possible. Your unconscious mind sees some of the future and a small bit of it sometimes trickles into your consciousness. So, you end up thinking about something before you experience it.
