ok im wanting to do my first G2G transfer and need a little input.I dont have a flowhood/GB,what would be the most sterile conditions i could achieve without this equipment??? From what i have read G2G is a tricky move to be sucessful but can also be very rewarding..what are your thoughts????

When i have done g2g in the past i just go in the cleaned bathroom close all heat vents and make sure the windows are closed and get rid of all towels and put away all tooth brushes and anything else in there and spray the hell out of everything with lysol. Let it sit for about half an hr then go in there and do it.

putting 10ml of h202 in each of the receiving quart jars and shaking before the transfer has shown good results..

generally clean hygiene...gloves, hair net, dust mask
HEPA ran for a couple hrs before transfer would be helpful

shake once to distribute.. about a tablespoon per quart is sufficient.. the more the faster the colonization.

You could also build a reliable glovebox for around $15 in materials. I've done G2G in a clear trash bag before.

Yeah, provides a draft free area to work in. Main idea is to prevent contams from landing on your goods. It's not exactly a sterile environment, but it does an excellent job. Nope, no positive pressure either.

You should always spray lysol in any area your gonna work in.

No problem. I'm not a Lysol fan, but you could do that. I like 1/10 bleach/water, and wipe down EVERY surface of the box, including lid. Load stuff in, put lid on, wait a bit for things to settle and do my work.

Hey pizzle, make sure you dont lysol everything down and then immediatly do your g2g, if lysol gets in ur myc. it can cause mutes.Gl
