I haven't gotten a pressure cooker/canner yet. BRF is gay so I'm looking to do some WBS and thus need to purchase a PC. I have a couple options but the main two I'm looking at are a Presto 18qt canner or an older All-American off fleabay. All the All-Americans I've seen go for upwards of $100 used and new they're much more than that. The Presto I can get for $80 shipped to my door.
This isn't going to be for large scale use. Just occasional sterilization. So what do you think.

I went with the Presto 18qt. Reason being: All Americans sell on eBay for what, $120 average? For a 40 dollar difference, the Presto will serve you well; especially considering it's for occasional sterilization.
Bigger is better but if money is tight, make an economical choice. I used this little Mirro 4 qt. for years and years and beat the hell out of it. It still works, haven't even replaced the gasket! It cost me <$40 new. I love that thing.

You will like the All American better in the long run.
You can find good deals on Ebay...you just have to be patient.

p4ksoul - BRF colonzies slow, isn't large enough and I think the nutes suck compared to whole grains.
Roadkill - Have you used a Presto canner? I'm not planning on using it very often, maybe 8 - 10 times/year. Just curious if it would hold up for a few years without needing replacement parts.

I got a 23q presto at wally world for $90. If the ones near you carry them get them. shit thats only $10 more and its 5 more q. So if you decide to do a large amout in the future you have it.

Yes I have used one...a friend of mine has a Presto.
One draw back to a Presto is the gasket...needs to be replaced when it wears out.
The All American doesn't have a gasket...it seals to itself...metal to metal.
Plus they are much more sexy looking...lolzz
If you are out to save some $$$$ the Presto will do.
