how do you get chosen to be a moderator? do thor and 3dshroom jus choose people they think would be reliable or do you apply?

BTW, why would anyone want to be a mod? A was an administrator at yoderanium.com a couple years ago when it was free hosting web sites and quit because it was a lot of unpaid work and a lot of BS. I never want to be a mod or administrator ever again.
