This is a great idea Ripple.
The more this music is spread the better.
Alot of people like the Dead(and other jam bands), but havn't really delved into to much of the live stuff. By turning people onto stellar shows their minds can be completly ripped open. Imagine the positive impact of someone who's a psychonought being exposed to some of those magical shows for the first time. You and I (and others) know how completly magical it is to eat some sacraments and hear GD that you havn't heard before. We can steer people to the really good shows. A good Grateful Dead live concert recording can turn a psychedelic trip into a life changing experiance. Nothing like the boys to guide and push you towards the light. :sun:

Hell you don't have to be high. Take a regular day thats boring and listen to
some fresh Dead and you'll be beaming from ear to ear.

:heart:God bless the Grateful Dead

Absolutely

hmm this whole idea could perfectly fit in 1 thread with the first post updated with the links people pos. imo no need for w whole new subforum

i disagree... a sticky would just get more annoying, and less people would continuously read it... Having a sub forum would allow us to post about the dead all day long, as if we dont do that enough already. Lets say for example that %25 of the discussion in the pub is about the :gd_icon:... so with that, it would clear up the main board for day to day standard conversations. Which would be way cool, cause despite popular belife, not everyone is into reading bout the dead 24/7 (not me of course).  It would be like like the back room, where we could just chill out and talk about music all day. Thier would be a great database of conversations about each show. Like have a specific title format (say "GD: 77-02-26" where you could just search for a date, and hear what people have said about it before.  I know this could all happen in the pub directly, but i think once everything got going, all the post would fill up the pub.

Also, this brings an idea to mind... OTD should have a "hello.jpg" sub forum... just to clean things up a bit eh?
