misting casings

My carpet has two casings that are beginning to look/feel dry, and was considering misting the casings directly with water that has had a couple glugs of h202 added. will the h202 hurt my carpet's casings?

i have used an H2O2 mixture of 8 to 1 for misting for some time. the originator of use of H2O2 writes in his treatisis (sp) that up to a 3 to 1 solution should still not do serious harm to vigorous mycelium. this equates to a one percent solution.

Peroxide is ok to mist your mushroom casings with. It can be easily broken down by healthy mycelium. The more often you use peroxide the more the mycelium gets used to it and the easier it breaks down. Over time you could condition your mycelium to take a straight shot of 3% with out a problem.
