my favorite new comedian

(other than Mitch Hedberg who has been a fave the last few years but yeah I needed something new)
Mack Lindsay (16.6mb/18min46sec clip; good d/l speed) - for fans of Bill Hicks, Doug Stanhope, Joe Rogan, etc.
there is not a lot of material online at this point, but he plays quite often in L.A. I'd like to support him however I can but I'll just do so by offering this link and hoping some of you near L.A. can check him out sometime if you like what you see.
his (and other up-and-coming comedians'/performers') site is http://www.standupisdead.com
Alex Jones makes a brief guest audience cameo, as Mack was doing this benefit show in Austin last year (where he used to live and where Jones lives), for those interested in him.
please post feedback.

is mitch hedburg that long haired hippy who talks in a really monotone voice and wears the sunglasses because his eyes are all messed up? if so that guy is fucking halarious. He was Dave and he started going off about how pepridge farm double wraps their bread and how its just one more step between him and toast. Good stuff.

I must be the only one who finds Mitch Hedburg's comedy retarded. His Material is just so childish and dumb.

I find this guy Arj Barker to be very funny.
The reason I dislike Hedburg is because he is either a very dumb person, or he has smoked himself retarded.
i enjoy more intellectual comedians, ones that put out their comedy on a higher level. Seinfeld's stand up has always done it for me.
chris rock is good too

I dig this guy..
He's got a groove similar to what Mitch would be like if he hadn't smoked himself retarded... like the way he leaves the last syllable hanging and then pronounces it oddly quickly...
The thing I really like about this Mack Lindsay guy is how real he seems... every joke is also commentary... every joke is making deep points. Very cool...

I don't see how Mitch Hedberg is dumb, doing silly jokes does not make you a dumb person. If you've seen him in shows like Home Movies, where he improvises his dialogue, it's quite a bit different. His style is very goofy, but I can't imagine that you'd be able to approach his talent if you tried. It might seem simple and easy, but his stuff is just plain funny, and it takes a lot of talent to be able to do what he does.
Seinfeld is okay, he's polished, but nothing spectacular. I recently saw a video of Doug Benson, and he was great. David Cross is hilarious, Patton Oswalt is good too.

I definitely agree. I think Mitch is hilarious, but just simple. It's comedy that isn't hard to get--it's simple and straight and it's funny.
I just found Dane Cook's CD--now that's funny. This guy had a special on Comedy Central where he starts in usual clothes and I swear by the end he was crawling around the stage in a tank top... He's very animated. Check him out too
