any bottled water, distilled or spring, will work perfectly fine for dunking, and yes the water stays in the jars with the cakes for the cold shock in the fridge. just be SURE you put the lids on so nothing shitty gets in your jars from the fridge.
as for the hose setup you have, i dont know if that will suffice for fanning because i dont have an automatic setup. but putting fresh air into the fruiting chamber 24/7 is definately too much air IMO, it wouldnt let the humididty in the tank be there.

thnx edge, i'll keep the "too much air" thought in mind. considering hooking up a couple of polyfil air vents in the top of the lid or side of the chamber. Not sure of the best way to go about this though, just drill and fill(?). Well, just finished putting the jars in the fridge...will take them out in about 15 hrs or so and be keepin' ya posted on their progress....PeAcE!

No, I didn't...sorry for such a novice question. This is my first time, and I've been on pins and needles trying to ensure everything goes right. Thanks for taking the time to reply and reassure me!
Thanks again,

yeah, just got done taking them out and setting them in their now temporary chamber. I'm going to set up the PMP tommorow and hopefully they'll spring back to life in there. Though I have my doubts (i can see substrate poking through, like the mycellium has withered away). We'll see what happens....and like I've been saying, I'm leaving tomorrow for 5 days which doesn't help. We shall see upon my arrival. Thanks for all the help..woulda been lost without it. And while I'm at it, another newb Q, whats is up with not wanting the water condensation dripping on the shrooms or misting from afar to keep water off the cakes...water droplets on the cakes no good...why?

>Spraying directly on cakes Primordia(aka knots or pins/pre-pins lol) will get matted down from water being sprayed,(overlay) so having correct humidity is crucial, i haven't had to mist my cake for about 3 days, and when i do mist, it's only one the inside of the fruiting chamber.
>Droplets falling directly on cakes/mushies BB, Bacterial Bloth can be the outcome of letting droplets of water fall on ur precious ones, MF showed me a pic, it was pretty terrible. And overlay can be caused from water directly hitting, see #1

that's my attitude...keep it up till they sprout. If these don't work I have three jars of EQ ready to go when I get back. Just set up my PMP with an added bowl of hot water for a little rH boost. Went by exactly what Magash posted so I hope they'll be alright when I'm gone. keep your fingers crossed and throw some shroom energy this way and maybe i'll have a few pins poppin' up when I get back....PEACE!!
