if you are going to get one and are serious about cultivating then get the cadillac, the all american.
Otherwise the best one to get is one that works and won't blow up in your face

which means make sure the seal is good (if not, that you can get a replacement part) and that you have adequate instructions to run it :)

i like the presto 21 qt pressure canner, found on ebay.

water bath (boiling jars) works nicely for pf jars only. make sure you keep the lid on tight, and lift the jars from the bottom of the pot with a washcloth.

Check out your local thrift shop. You'll prolly find one for about $3. Check the seal and make sure it has the rocler on top.

If there is a Goodwill donation center near you , go there. The prices are very reasonable. Often times you can get a large pc for less than ten dollars. I got fortunate and found an All American for one dollar.
