Best digital hydrometer?

I know I saw the link to this before... I'm looking for a meter that not only displays the RH, but also activates appliances. Much like your everyday timer, this just turns things on and off depending on the RH. I think I saw one for like $140??? Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Like said, you want a humidistat.
Even if you didnt, it would be the hyGrometer you would want (displays the rh). A hydrometer is something else.
No other info other then correct terms though. Good luck!

http://www.littlegreenhouse.com/accessory/controls2.shtml scroll down to pre-wired humidistat. It's not digital. Bear in mind, it will give a max of 85%, so it's great for casings, but not suitable for cakes.

Roger- Do you know by chance where the sensor is for that prewired humidistat? Would the power chord for the ultrasonic have to go into the chamber to plug into the humidistat?

Thanks for the right terminology. I think he is wanting something that can go up higher than 80% RH. There has to be something out there with a more sensative controller. I will keep looking and post anything that I find. I am surprised that more people do not use these on their martha setups.

radio shack has a temp/hygrometer w/ a remote sensor and monitor. compatible with up to three remote sensors, depending upon your needs.

To much money. Its easy to just use a timer for the ultrasonic 15 minutes every two hours or so. My closet I need it on for 2 hours then off for 1/2 hour. A hygrometer is like 10 bucks and the timer 5-15. Works just as well but take another inital day or two to get it right.
If the plug does have to go into the chamber, you shouldnt see any problems. I've run 2 humidifiers, a fan, three lights, a timer, and a power strip inside of my closet for month now without issue other then a small zap when unplugging something once right when I opened the door and the fogger was on for a while so it was actually foggy and dripping at the moment. Jumped to my finger but small zap, no problem really. From the looks of the unit, it would have to be but RR will know for sure. He doesnt wonder into basic much though (seen him recently in a few posts though) so you may want to PM him if he doesnt respond back here.
