Ok, so currently I have a terrarium in which the cakes only receive light when I air out the rubbermaid.... is this bad? I know they need light, but can they grow w/o much of it? Also I want to make a window on top of my terrarium... what should I cut hard plastic with? Can I cover it with just plastic wrap? Thanks guys
Oooo this tea tastes like dirt, what is it....?

Yes, they could use a little more light. I cut these plastic bins with a jigsaw.

Like an electric jigsaw? Anything you would reccomend using by hand? I don't really have access to equipment.

can we get some numbers here? "more light" is a bit ambiguous. Is there too much light?

Glad you asked this Question. Definatly make a wiindow using saran wrap. You can cut through the hard plastic with a utility knife just be careful and score the plastic several times until the knife goes through then you can drag it through the rest of the cut. I'm assuming your using a rubermaid container or something like that.Seal the plastic wrap up with duct tape and your ready to go.

without any instruments or equipment? well, imagine that your shrooms enjoy reading for twelve hours a day. if you put some reading material in the terrarium for them, you should have enough light to read by for twelve hours a day, without exposing them to direct sunlight. beyond that it doesn't seem to make a difference. a friend of mine uses semitranslucent rubbermaids and no holes.
