old grain, still good?

I have some rye grain that's been sittin around in a rubbermaid bucket with a lid (not air tight) for about 3 mo's, can this still be used for mushies?

i would imagine it would be ok to use, just make sure you sterilize it right.

should still be good, but if you have access to more its so cheap i would pay the few dollars for the fresh shit... i've used brown rice thats 6 months old and wasnt air tight with good resuts...
