Looks good. I have the same brand, it's made by Sears and Robuck. I just bout a 25 qt. a couple years ago that's dated 1927. Solid as a rock! Made much better than some of todays. Wanna see some pics?

BEWARE:
If that old PC has a rubber seal. You can bet it's worn out, or almost worn out. Odds are GREAT......hell would freeze over before you would find a replacement seal, for a 50 year old brand - that hasn't been produced for 25 years.

Look for an All American PC, the bigger the better. No rubber seal & they never wear out - if cared for.

Yeah, I'd be very wary of that particular PC. It looks ancient...and evil. Pay the extra $ and take agar's advice. This is the one thing in the field of mycology that you really shouldn't look for a shortcut with.

Yahh, and in my experience, you dont even need to take care of em.

Agar's advice is best, but mine has been beat to hell, still works like the day I got it.

Only thing I ever replaced, was the wheel weight, cuz I lost it.

All american!

I have the exact same model...got it at a flea-market for $20 over 10 years ago...no rubber seal and it works just fine. I put an inch or so of water in the bottom, load it, close it up with a steam screw open until the steam starts coming out. Then close the screw and wait for the pressure gauge to get close to 15 PSI...then just back off on the heat and it the pressure stays at 15 PSI.
Even if a P-cooker needs a replacment rubber seal, that is not hard to make...gasket material will do it, or a good fabric store will even carry strong rubber material...lay that flat, put the lid on it and trace it out.
