    #3845117 - 02/28/05 02:44 AM (13 years, 2 months ago)

Hello all,
My problem is releted to humidity and temperature. My growth chamber is a thermo-cooler box.I got water in it with a submersible fishtank heater (24 c) and an aquarium bubbler, working 24/7.Water dripping form the side of the box all the time. The whole box is always look pretty wet..I got 3 casings in the box.ok the prob. is..my humidity cauge is showing me that i have %70 humidity and the temp. is 23...how come it could happen??the box is perfectly wet.only one thing i can figure is my box is a thermal cooler..maybe its getting so hot and killing humidity?(thermal boxes keep temp. stabile you know)or my humidity meter which is a sauna type is just not working well...what would you do??ıve turned off the heater and still its showing me that ive %70 humidity there...the other thing is aquarium bubbler thing ,does it increase humidity or discrease it(by producing oxygent) what do you think, could you gimme an advice? thanx a bunch

Sounds like you have an inaccurate hygrometer (the tool that measures the humidity). If it is an analog one, this is practically expected (for the lower end metal coil design). The digital ones fail sometimes too though. Try searching for hygrometer calibration.

Hey, my hygrometer stayed at 84%...but everything pinned just fine...Ive heard that you have to spend over $100 to get a very accurate one that is accurate at 80% +.

Life is but a dream.......
