somebodys got to help the novices in mush cult. its ridiculous the things their doing...what youre all to good to critisize their techniques now? some asshole just innoculated a jar of nearly all honey.
anyways, just so mods wont remove this post,
what do you all think of a controlled ergot culture, like agar?
btw:ergot does produce shroom like structures that drop spores, of couse i dont want those

Just for the record, all medicinal ergot is harvested from wild sclerotia growing on rye grain fields. Farmers are paid by Pharmecutical companies to harvest the sclerotia before the rye harvest. Noone has been able to grow sclerotia, of ergot, in culture.

no ones been able to cultivate? wheres your source on this?i mean there are formulas for liquid cultures, of course ive never tried them personally.

The PARMECUTICAL COMPANIES who manufacture all the legal substances from ERGOT, still to this day pay dearly for SCLEROTIA of the ergot fungus. It is hand picked from the wild. You can cultivate mycelium all you want, but the real concentrations of the chemicals are in the sclerotia.
Try your basic Morphology book on PLANTS and FUNGUS. I can give you the source if you are really interested. If that doesn't convince you go to your local AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY and do a search on ERGOT, or better yet ERGOTAMINE TARTRATE. It is more expensive for them to produce the quantities necessary, via liquid culture, then it is to pay the farmers for the sclerotia. No one has produced sclerotia of ergot in culture. What you gonna do with ERGOT anyways? Trying to give birth, or just kill yourself!!!!

oh, yes i know the concentrations are higher, but you said that no one has been able to cultivate. nevermind.
im interested in a small culture that will make it easy to extract needed chems.

If you spent the time to read my original post, it said SCLEROTIA cultivation, not mycelium. And I know what comes from Ergot. But I certainly don't want to make any!!!!!!
Just please be extremely careful, entire populations of people throughout history have been poisoned by Ergot, and it wasn't on purpose. You can buy what you want, and it is readily available in underground markets. The finished product ofcourse. LSD-25

Ergot may contain some alkaloids of interest to an experienced LSD chemist, but unless you want to lose an arm and a leg over it, I wouldn't suggest trying it.
(P.S. I'm not talking about the cost)

im aware of the dangers...ergot causes gangrene, if you touch or ingest it (not sure about inhalation, but id wear a mask anyways)
teo: are you saying that i should just buy lsd? or are you talking about the otc meds containing (a tiny amount) of ergotamine. unless youre connected pills are a pain in the ass, besides im not even ruling med extraction out...im just saying ergot cultivation has very attractive benefits.
