what are your opinions on this site? now i am of the opinion that jesus was teaching the same spiritual message as buddha and the rest but his message became distorted over the years, so i like sites like this. why isn't this argument made more often?

I'll check out the site tommorrow (its late ) but I agree whole heartedly that the teachings of the Masters become diluted and distorted over time to the point that they'd be unrecognizable to their originators. This is just my feeling, but I feel that Jesus never intended for his message to be formalized into a church. I was watching footage of the Pope the other day and it struck me in the contrast between the Pope, who allowed people to bow and kiss his ring, and Jesus who bowed before people and washed their feet.

Jesus is little more than a name to them now. A name that confers authority. These people are using religion rather than being used by its Source. Its a damned shame, but that's they way it goes..

i've said it before and i'll say it again, the church today is the same church of pharisees and "hypocrites" it was in jesus day, the same church that jesus pissed off by pointing out there selfish, evil acts.

Matthew 5:20

"For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."

by the way, the link did'nt work for me.

The church has little to do with real christianity other than to remind christians of the priciples of their religion.

ok, have'nt read through all the site, but from what i did read it sounds good, i agree with what i've read.

I really liked the The Four Deadly Christian Assumption..

i've been looking for a site like this, most christian sites are just like the churches I find in real life, strict, no room for debate, blind, lost, there own gods, i'm right your wrong, anything else is of the devil, (honestly, alot of christians websites won't allow discussion of other religions, or docturn, or interpretations in the forums, threads get closed/locked, post get deleted etc etc...) thanks for the link deviate, you made my day.
