Caapi Vine help?
    #3838912 - 02/26/05 10:42 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

So a I met a vine last november, her leaves fell off soon after.  but still felt energy in her container, so i let her be, thinking she went dormant.

decided to pull her up with a fork, to check the roots.  didn't look like much growth, but there were half a dozen white hairs spread thru the brown.  are these signs of life?

i nutured her soon after, anyone have a guess if she's gonna make it?

Thanks :sun:

White hairs are probably a good sign. Keep nurturing and watch for above ground growth. Good luck!

Mine lost all of the leaves as well, this was in dec. It now has tiny leaves reappearing and also many small shoots coming from the roots ball. I hit it with Earth worm castings two weeks prior to the new growth. Don't toss it, I thought mine was dead as well. I will try to get some photos up tonight. I am a happy camper.

mine have been cooked by a unhappy SWIM who forgot it under the full sun for his bullshit. no leaves anymore. barely a piece of root.
for some reason i didn't try to chew on it or throw it away, i planted the sticks on the ground, in a shady spot and for my surprise one of these days i was checking my plants around when i decided to give a feel on those sticks - they're well attached, there must be good roots growing!
i cannot wait for a more obvious sign of life...
