old shrooms

A friend accidentally forgot to pick his shrooms, so they stayed on the casing for three or four days. Now the caps have started turning black. None of the caps are completely black, and the black shit just wipes off. The question is, are they still edible?

Thanks, that makes sense because today I was fixing the casing and noticed that the spores were also on the container...
