Amanita spores are white.
So you won?t see them on white papar.
Place it on dark paper or on glass.

If you allready placed it on white paper, before you switch it to dark paper, look very closly for the spores. It is hard to see them because they are white on white, but Amanitas make very dark (thick) prints so they are still easily visable. If it is allready dropping, then just use the paper its on.

Well, they are hard to grow inside because they usually grow with trees. In AK its usually Birch trees. I don't know really know the answer to your question about spores vs mycelia but I think its mycelia from my observations. Fruitings are usually at least a few feet away from each other and they don't usually have clumps of fruitings. You would think that where the spores drop there would be new shrooms. That is not the case. I think they have large mycelium networks underground. Do they grow in your area? If not then maybe you won't have much luck.

They are mycorhizzial and have a symbiotic relationship with the trees around them. They like birch. Do you have any birch trees? You could try direct root innoculation and a maybe you'll see something in about 10 years.
