If you want a GOOD dessicant as opposed to CHEAP, I'd highly recommend Drierite which is laboratory grade stuff.

It's reusable by baking in the oven and if you get the indicating granules, you will know precisely when it's absorbed all the water it can hold.

I go to Lowes and get Damp Rid. For just under $3.00 I get a half gallon carton that looks like one of those Orange juice cartons that you get at the grocery store.
