Attic Incubation

Would it be better for my to incubate pf style jars in a room were the average tempature is about 70. Or put them in my attic were during the day the tempature peaks at around 85, but at night drops to about maybe 60. I guess my main concern is incubation time. I would assume that pinning would not be a problem as long as they are not exposed to light, p. cubensis being a phototropic mushroom and needing light to intitiate pinning.

The warmer the incubator, the faster the colonization. But realize that warmers temps can encourage contamination. I would shoot for 83 to 85 at most. Also, you want stable temps.

If the attic changes from 85 to 60 everyday, it would be better to put them in your room at a constant 70. Ofcourse, the best thing to do would be to keep them in the attic during the day, and at night move them to your room...
