Hi Eveyone,
I am very happy to announce that we FINALLY have filter discs! So all of you PMing me and emailing us, your worries are over.
These filter discs are EXACTLY the same as another Fungi Provider:) The discs filter down to .3 microns and they fit narrow and wide mouth canning jars. Now onto the contest!
Since I'm excited about finally getting these discs I threw the idea of Myco Supply having a contest of some kind. Well, sad to say, but we couldn't think of a good contest:)
SO! We want you to come up with it! We are giving away a set of 10 filter discs to 5 people. The 5 winners can choose any 10 discs that we carry. You can get 10 of one size, or mix and match any size that equals up to 10.
Its simple, come up with a creative, original, and well thought out contest. Include contest rules and specifications. The top 5 best ideas will win! Its that simple. We will choose a winner on Sat. September 8th 2001 at 6:00 p.m. EST. The winners will be announced on Monday, Sept. 10th. So you've got a whole week to come up with a great contest idea!

Hey, I got a REALLY cool idea for a contest. Well have a Grow-Off!!! Top five people with the biggest flushes win. We can post the pics here and can even make it mandatory to have a newspaper in the pic for authenticity! Sounds like a contest if I've ever heard one!

How about a contest like the Lottery. Everyone loves the lottery. Like the new craze Powerball.
Rules go like this: Everyone who posts a reply to the announcement gets sent say 6 random numbers. At the end of the contest a randome number generator picks 6 random numbers and whoever has the most numbers wins the contest.
Or you could rig up some other way to incorporate gambling into a contest. Its so contagious that everyone would sell their children to play.

Some of these ideas are alotta freakin work for 10 filter disks!! This is not a criticism of the prize just a reminder that we should try to keep it alittle simpler. Heres my version of a contest. Lets all try to find the funniest or most unusual picture concerning mushrooms of any kind. Original art also being accepted.

I think this is a good contest idea.
Everyone who wishes to enter the contest will need to submit plans for a new type of grow kit... you know, something like the Hydra-Pod.
The plans, material list, and approximate cost to build must be included. There could also be different prize categories. Things like "Most elaborate design", "Most economical design", and so on.

For the contest, how about everyone has to make an add for the filter disks. Everyone has some sort of picture editing software on their system. It wouldn't have to be fancy, it could be any artwork whatsoever, as long as it pertains to filter disks. You would get some cool filter disk artwork, and the winner gets whatever you were going to give away.

The best contest (and by best, I mean funniest/funnest) would be one that is completely off the wall and/or impossible to win.
so, ohhh, lets say it's a contest between how endowed we are, hehehehehehe ;OD.
So, heres the deal, women, take a picture of yourself naked and send it to me. Men, take one of willy included with a scale, such as a ruler and scan it in and send it to lana, DO NOT post it here as I really don't want to see that.
I will choose which women win, 3 of them, and lana will chose the guys, 2 of them.
Oh, and you must also scan a picture of some photo id so we can tell that it is you and not someone you found on a porn site.
I will examine them very thouroughly, and keep them in my prvate colle..., er uhh, I will delete them off my computer when I am done ;).
Oh, and no using image editing software to make you look bigger.
Plus, there is an added benefit to this, if Lana and I get enough people to send us their pics, we can open up a small scale pron site, and with a few more contests like these we could really start banking on this. It would all have to be amateur solo shit tho :(.
Well that's my well thought out idea, I am sure lana could enjoy having a contest like this as much as I could.

Well my idea wasn't as much a contest as a prize. I really like the idea of maybe giving away gift ceftificates in future contests that way everyone can enter because we can all find some supplies we need.
Ok since I need a contest I'll guess I will go with the best unintentional porn since I can't think of anything else. Those are always the freaking funny...ya know like they have in Maxim magazine.
I know if I had more time I could think of something better but I just really wanted to get my gift certificate idea out there.

ENTER TO WIN THE MONKEY SHINES CONTEST!!
If I were having a contest, it would be to see who can write the best song about monkeys. The best song will be judged by actual monkeys. If the monkeys like your song the most, you win.
Official rules: All songs must be original, uncopyrighted works. Monkeys of all types will judge your songs. This includes, but is not limited to apes, baboons, gorillas, chimps, and carnival monkeys. Submissions can be on cassete tape, CD's (CD-R's), or VHS tapes. We are not responsible for damages incurred by flying feces.
