mike,
many years ago I saw a guy use newspaper...in a thread in here.
he said something about soaking it or boiling it to get rid of the ink.
I really don't remember much else...sorry.

yes, as will paper towels, toilet paper and most other paper products, keep in mind that not all species will fruit from these substrates but many will, as for the bible, most have a leather cover, just so you know, mushrooms will grow on virtualy anything.

Cardboard used for cloning... As well it states that cardboard indeed works well for wood-loving species...

Yes folks, Rodger is the "Coup de Gras" of master cultivators.
He's just one of the reasons that Mycotopia is the best forum by far for serious mushroom cultivation info.
I'll also mention their brand new board along with their great spore giveaways, make it a "must have" in every cultivators repertoire.

Wow, real aggression when it's totally uncalled for.
When I mean serious cultivation, I mean not having the same questions such as "What's the most potent strain" asked a thousand times over no matter how many time it gets locked.
As for the "dickhead" part, shame on you.
You should really learn to be a little more objective and pick your arguments a little closer to the vest.
Group opinions are almost never correct.
Mods attacking member now, great.

no, i didn't need to, true. i apologise to those watching, but not to boxtop, who reaps what he has been sowing for so long. where's the public apology for all the recent mud you've been throwing about roadkill, huh? i stand behind my crew, and if you look close you'll see road's name up top here in this forum.
box can't just start fights if he can't take it back in return. and he shouldn't be spamming either.
someone can lock this if they like. i shouldn't be flaming here, i just wanted to step on boxtop's throat publically, rhetorically speaking, of course.

I thought I read somewhere that the substrate the shrooms grows in aids in the potency. Ie. brf vs. wrf. anybody else able to elaborate?

definitely true. many swear by millet for maximum potency, and others even supplememnt their substrate with tryptamine precursors.

Wow, I don't know you but I'll say this...you need to learn to control your emotions. Your anti-Boxtop crusade is accomplishing nothing, except steadily making you appear to be an unprofessional, out of control twit.
Calm down.

Why RK was even brought up here? Ask Shirley.
