Hey all, well im buyin tickets to go to a certain Music and Arts festival this summer (june 10-12th for you who are in the know) and i would really like to be able to bring a nice sized amount of my ganj with me to enjoy in my tent and during the night shows, but a buddy of mine went the other year and got busted by some cop dogs at a checkpoint, anyone have any good ideas that have worked in the past of stashin reefer? like the soap thing sounds like a good idea, could the dogs smell it through the soap? and do pot brownies/cookies have a pot smell? ive only ever eaten them when i was already too messed up to tell what they smelled like :-D , thanks in advance, any help will be appreciated

coffee grounds. put whatever you have inside a ziploc, then put that ziploc inside a ziploc of coffee grounds. if you crave additional security, use another bag of detergent, some powdered stuff. also, fabric softener sheets help a lot. wrap the whole package in them.

im no pro but i know that microscopic traces of weed can get on your fingers and get on the OUTSIDE of each layer you put it in. Covering the smell will do nothing it has to be contained or tha dogs can pick it out. I read about a guy who got busted, who was driving his truck with a pound of weed IN the gas tank and a dog on the side of the road picked up the smell as the truck drove into the checkstop

If you're bringing less than an ounce in for yourself, you'll be fine with just stashing it in a bag hidden in camping equiptmet. We had no problem getting stuff in last year.

although i've used the technique i mentioned to get past dogs before, if you want to be super safe, buy some latex gloves from your local walmart, and change them constantly while packing your stash in the aforementioned way. shit, you can put it all in tupperware and spray it with aqua velva or some other shit cologne if you want.
i really don't think you have to worry about minute traces of marijuana on your fingers, but...

don't look like a pot head would be a good start...i've heard of people walking within 2 feet of a dogs nose without the dog signaling, so they may pick you out and make their dog signal just to search you, just because you look like the type...cops know the type for the most part, and know what to look for more than the dog does, that's why dogs are much more accurate with a knowledgable handler. i've never really heard of a fool proof way to get a dog to not signal, and i'm pretty sure a handler can make a dog signal without a scent. good luck.

If I was gonna stash something Id stick it inside of a large jar of peanut butter. I think the dogs are pretty good at sniffing it out. Keep a few milk bones in your pocket.. "man, i feed my dog these all the time, must forgot to do the laundry!!!"
Lets not try to let the man know we are sneaking stuff into the festival... step one... KEEP THAT STASH SECRET.......
