mmm - you want some steam to escape the jars when your sterilsing, or you could get a large explosion - ive never tried stacking them, but it sounds a bit scary to me - i always keep the lids loose...

I have stacked jars for the last year now. Only on broken jar in pressure cooker. No other probs, cut cooking time almost in half. Ahh more time to relax and enjoy

not a bad question at all... basically, its ok, so long as they don't get smushed in... if its gonna be a tight squeeze, don't do it.

Yes, you can stack jars as long as you've got the room to do it.
