Are you trying to dry it indoors?

I see. Well that is where your cobweb is coming from, plenty of moisture and mold spores there. It's going to be really slow to dry inside.

I don't think it will hurt anything, cobweb should die when you pasteurize the manure later on.

To dry you can use the oven. Just don't let the temp get above 170F. Break it up real well before hand (screen it if you can) and stir it around often to keep the heat relatively even.

Cobweb mold indicates a drying atmosphere that is not dry. You need to find a drier place to dry your shit or use a desiccant.

I wouldn't use a desiccant. I would just open the place up a bit. Cobweb will die in sterilization, but it's not a good idea to have it go crazy in your house. Spores can get everywhere, including your lungs which can't be good. A little cobweb isn't an issue--it just means your poo is not really being dried fast enough. A 6" thick mat of it, though, is something different. If you let the cobweb get totally out of hand, it'll be very difficult to sterilize it.

ya its just a little area i was thinkin of spraying the spot with some h2o2 and trying to keep it under control that way while its drying, imo its drying pretty quickly imean not as fast as out in the az sun but for in the apt it ant to bad.

If you already leached it just pasteurize. Why would you dry it out? If you are worried about under leaching, pasteurize in water and let it drain overnight. badda bing badda boom.

Q, and sorry for the highjack, but how does everyone here dry, pastuerize, and rehydrate their dung? I'm thinking about leaching (if need be,i'll find out soon), laying out to dry in front of a good fan on a raised screen, and hydrating to field consistency and then bagging w/ spawn bags and pastuerizing in the oven...

i guess i'm j/w if my procedure is correct here, since it will be my first bulk run

i'll also be using straw but i think i have that procedure down, thx

well im not drying after pasturizing. after leaching im drying. im doing a small cooler as a sample run, i pastrused it last night and will spawn it today.

sok, dont worry about highjacking, cause your not. i leached mine by puting it in a pillow case and soaking in a rubbermade for 28 hours or so changing the water about 4 times. (did it in the bathtub) as par as pastruizing i just loaded up the shit that had dryed the most after leaching in the oven bag, threw ssome straw in a blinder and soaked it in a bowl for 20 min then drained the water out and gave it a light sqweez. i added it to the poopie and mixed it up really well in the oven bag. made sure to brake up all the dung junks. ten just added water to it till it was a lil over wet, sense it will be lossing a small amount in the oven. put a turkey therm in the hole and closed it up as best as i can. cooked for 3hours or so.

does anyone know if zipties or (cable ties)will withstand the oven? i feel this would be the best way to seal the bag.

Doubt it very much. Clothesline clips (the wood and metal ones for hanging wet cloths) work. Actually I've seen people seal theyre bags with rubberbands.

figures... its a ford  sorry, had to take a stab there... but it actually depends on the zip ties you've got.  i've seen zipties melt at around 150 F and some used on headerwrap that gets up into the mid hundreds for temp... all you can do is try it out, maybe just stick a couple on a cookie sheet under some foil for a lil bit and see if they melt...
